Another coilover thread
I have had Ksport coilovers installed in my AWD Magna for a year or so now, and have thought about seeing whether or not they make one for a Sigma. I contacted them recently and they have informed me they don't but are happy to make some up for me, if i provide a sample for the price of somewhere ar...

I'm more or less just curious as to what people are running in the rear end, especially the sigma guys.JimmyG wrote:If your going to effort of a coilover rear end you would really need to go a full 5 link rear end. A lot of work involved.

More coilovers talk
So all this coilovers talk has got me thinking, what about the rears? All these people going coilovers and I only ever hear about the fronts. Obviously for those with leaf rears it's a bit harder, but Sigma guys what's going on in the rear? Mainly cheater I'm looking good at you, as you also Have a ...

Ok great, thanks guys that clears it up a bit. I'm not looking to work it just yet, but who knows really. Probably best to get it done anyway.
Don't suppose anyone knows of someone in brisbane that does this?

Thermostat relocation
Is it worth doing the relocation of the thermostat on the magna conversion? I see people choose different things and I would really just like to know whether it's worth it or will it cause issues not doing etc etc

rust repairs
Anyone know any decent rust repairers in brisbane? I have a tiny bit that needs doing that's in a shit spot. There's a small hole in the rear windscreen sill on the drivers side. Obviously the screen will have to come out and rear parcel shelf to get it properly. And any ideas on the sort of cost in...

Theres a GH sigma at my local wreckers and I've been looking for green struts, or black ones with removable caliper brackets. I am collecting parts for the conversion, and this has been playing on my mind a bit. I got a narrow Jap, with the short extension housing (out of a l200)

Thank you Scorpioncollector, So a Scorpion running gear will be easiest? Re: Wideblock 5 spd in a GE
So let me get this right, a wideblock gearbox will fit into the transmission tunnel of a 2.0 auto GE sigma?? It is (obviously) a narrow block engine, so i would need a different engine, but it won't be too wide for the tunnel?? I have a narrow Jap box in the shed, but the extension housing I think i...

Over the weekend I will be fitting new springs and shocks to the old girl. I thought, whilst I'm down there I should replace some bushes. Re: Best motor
Sigma had 1600, 1850, 2L and 2.6L. look for a later model as its more likely a 2L or 2.6L and look for the engine number, the one you want is 4g54. If you go for one out of a Magna it is a better motor, will be 2.6L, Most likely fuel injected, but will need a little modification to change it to RWD....

a pair of 40 mm IDFs could be made work but you wound need to make a manifold - I dout you could buy one off the shelf there are twin weber manifolds around but for the DCOE models of cause there also could be bonnet clearance issues as well if you are thinking of a 2.6 with a bit more poke as a da...
