Re: My GD sedan is gettin a makepver
It is looking great! The bay and front end chassis respray has really lifted it up. I am surprised that you haven't headed towards an engine upgrade while you had it in pieces but then again your Saturn engine does look super clean.

Re: Your first Car
First car - 1984 Mitsubishi Cordia GSL (AA4 series full import) I loved to hate this car. It was a glorified Colt with a 4G32 engine and 3 speed auto trans with all the power options - mirrors, windows, steering, air con (that never worked from the day I got it) and headlight wipers. It fell apart w...

Keep at it, this is the annoying part of repairing a shell - getting the panels filled and smooth. Finding rust around the windscreen frame is no fun either, but unfortunately is common in Sigmas.

Re: please help. problems with car start and idle
Good advice from LukeAussie on the carby. Also you should do more than check the timing and the spark plugs when it comes to the ignition - if it's running a points distributor check the dwell angle as well using a dwell meter. It might be just enough out of spec to make it difficult to start but my...

Whoops on the double pic post PS WHERE THE HELL IS THE EDIT BUTTON? What is this? 1995? Fixed :) And yes, us admins know about the edit button thing and the chosen few have complained - but due to this function being abused it has been removed. As long as the site cops keep doing their funky thing,...

Welcome to the site Maciek. You don't need to own a Mitsubishi or old Chrysler 4 cylinder to be a member here - just being a fan gives you enough right to be here and take part in the forum. Good luck with finding the old school Mitsubishi you are looking for.

Re: struts and shocks
Dude, it's isn't worth the hassle. Those springs are seriously too low and aren't retained by the strut assemblies. I think you could get away with Cordia turbo springs as they have gotta be a higher rating than the Colt ones.

Yep. Yard ornament now :( . The body and panels are fubar'd. Some time soon it'll be pulled apart for whatever goodies are left in it and the rest is going to the big scrap bin in the sky. Power steering, 1.8 litre NA cyclone engine, 2" S/S exhaust with hand made glass pack muffler, vented disc...

Check the secondary vac actuator can on the back of the carby. If it doesn't hold vacuum then it's an easy fix - just swap it for a good one.

Hmm, I think the black finish doesn't look that far out of place at all. Has the old school 'race heritage' look to it. Nice work Dave, you have done a stellar job on these front air dams.

Top half of your fuel pump mount cracked off? Lemme guess - no spacer? That has caught plenty of guys out. And there are a couple of different types of fuel pumps just to add to the confusion. Good to see you got it up and running though Jono - nice work.

They 'should' work. I used hugely lowered K-Macs in my Cordia/Colt hybrid struts and the only issue was they weren't retained in the spring seats due to the ride height drop they offered.

Re: struts and shocks
Get a set of Cordia turbo strut assemblies, remove the strut top from the Colt strut and swap it onto the Cordia strut. The parts from the assemblies are cross compatible. You may even get lucky and find some with lowered uprated springs.

Bravo, a nice little mod that seems easy enough to do. I resorted to having a couple of LED's in a console panel I made for my Cordia and wiring them in - they indicated if parking and headlights were active and would go out if there was a wiring or fuse failure. They were 'idiot' idiot lights (idio...

Well, that is some transformation you've put the Scorpion through. It is looking super tidy! This will give it more than enough muscle to get it's carcass moving. Any plans for the suspension set up? The Scorpions' handling and stopping isn't exactly stellar out of the box.
