Re: 74 LA Lancer bolt in engine/radiator options
Hi Rockin', here's a engine bay shot of my old LB Lancer hatch. I used a jet valve head (valves welded up), port matched an inlet manifold that was completely void of the EGR valve (it hadn't been blocked or cut off- it simply wasn't manufactured with one, not even the gas port gallery) and a stock ...

I swapped the rear view mirror in my GD from one out of a scorpion- much wider, matched the interior colour and had the night glare reduction. Easy mod, cheap and works brilliantly. Had an LB hatch, can post pics (now) of full on interior retrim of seats and door skins. Liked the hatches a lot, you'...

I thought I'd throw some old pics of an amp install I did for my brother in his scorpion. Tha avalanche amp was rubbish and fried out within a year but the install was tidy enough. I wonder how John Craig Assessing would feel about that... Man, I can see all sorts of avenues of litigation being opened up by your buddy Flava Flav. Like watching a train wreck... Hope you get closure on this soon.

What the @#%$ am I doing wrong?
I have this thing in front of me that looks like a typewriter with a tv screen on top of it. Since using it I have visited a wonderous place called sigma-galant.com and have liked everything I've seen. So I used the advice about posting pictures to visit another land called photobucket. I was even a...

These kind of A-Holes don't give up... Is there any chance of tracking your car's history by the compliance plate? Surely the fact it's not carrying an aust delivered plate would help you? Chase down the option codes to prove this is a factory spec car. Hope someone can help you fight this.

If you're going to get another starter motor anyway, why not have a crack at pulling yours apart and taking a look at it's guts- just for curiousity's sake? It's a bit like stripping your first carby, you think it's full of dark magic and shouldn't be screwed with but once you've done it you learn s...

Heads up, kenvv! I decided to do some research 'bout your spring dilemma. The place isn't called universal springs, it's industrial springs (port rd, hindmarsh) . Had a chat to them, said they could make up a set but getting the right material stock is difficult. However, I had a quiet chat to one o...

What about getting some leafs made up for it? Universal springs just out of adelaide could do it (if they're still around, haven't been past there in ages...)

They're a straight swap- 5 leaf. I used a set in my Lancer hatch after the driver's side leaf snapped . I was really freakin' lucky I was doing less than 40k's when it let go. I was also lucky I had a set of the wagon springs at home and they bolted up (I did however, need to grind off the locator d...

Man it's getting crowded in there! Looks like you couldn't fit a bigger brake booster even if you wanted to... I've said this before but- wagon rear springs? It'll raise your rear but make it feel more compliant. You may need to use blocks to bring it back down so it doesn't stand up like a monster ...

Re: Saturn 1600 engine help
Dude, this is the stuff of nightmares. There's a couple of variations of pollution control on these colt engines. Ditch the whole exhaust and manifold and swap it for an earlier one, you'll be able to get rid of the recirculation plumbing and valve. There's only three hoses you need off of it- one o...

Hooray for busted knuckles! There's always that "it's not going to go in, somethings hitting" moment. That must have been rewarding when the last mounting bolt was tightened up.

Yeah, sounds like one of those "I wouldn't try it" ideas. Swap for a later model tank? I played with fitting a Cordia turbo tank under my GD wagon. It would've worked out too- just needed to make a support/spacer to locate the front end of the tank, either recycle or make up the mounting s...

Re: RIDING IN STOLEN CARS
Took a look at it, not bad (a little more complex than the low IQ coil killer switch) liked the idea of using a dud remote key fob to conceal the immobiliser function ( what is wrong with this @#$*ing remote? ). But I have a feeling if a hard wire bypass is used on either the coil or starter circuit...
