Custom Fit Car Cover

Looking for feedback/referrals on a quality soft touch indoor car cover for my 75 LA Coupe. I've been looking at the Covercraft premium indoor covers, but can't match up the model with the US specs. The car is not a daily driver, so looking for a quality dust proof cover which provide excellent pain...

Slow Winsdcreen Wipers

The windscreen wipers on my 75 LA are painfully slow & I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to speed up the wipers or service the wiper motor?

Cheers aussiblue, I'll try the adjustment to the turning plate & if no luck source a suitable replacement. Might pass on the Ferrari one tho.

Dash Intrument Lighting

The instrument lighting on my LA is now very dull, even with the light control turned full up. I've had a quick look at the rear of the dash & can't see any accessible globes, so now wondering if the lighting is internal to the instrument cluster. Anybody had similar issues & sorted a suitab...

Re: LA/LB Door Rubbers

Apologies for delayed respose & update. I haven't spoken to Phil for several months now & during our last conversation he indicated he would need an original set of LA door rubbers to sent off to his supplier (overseas) to confirm correct modeling. As for the set I purchased last year, I sti...

Many thanks for the uploaded pic as that helps heaps. Any ideas on if the red & green similar bonnet badges are representative on any particular model or perhaps just after market badges?

Hi Guys, can someone please confirm what the original bonnet badge for my 75 LA Coupe would have looked like? Any of the below pics "on the money"? http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z467/Affa41/Mitsubishi%20Parts/141220111144.jpg http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z467/Affa41/BadgesEmbl...

Re: LA/LB Door Rubbers

Update - I spoke to Phil today & he now has doubts whether the rubbers were modeled correctly off an LA coupe & perhaps of a Galant coupe instead? Well it wouldn't be a Galant 2 door, because all of them were minus top door frames as they are all pillarless. Fair call, sorry but I'm not up ...

Thanks for confirming it just wasn't my comparison & that it may well be a poor modeling or bad batch issue. I'll call him tomorrow to let him now you are willing to send a set to him & find out exactly how long he may need them. I really appreciate your offer & trust this will end well ...

Re: LA/LB Door Rubbers

I too have purchased windscreen rubbers from Phils and they were a great fit. I was surprised to see the coupe door rubbers available and also at such a great price - unfortunately sometimes you only get what you pay for & not what you were hoping for.

Rear doors are NOT interchangeable! As LB sedan has different shaped rear wheel wells to LA sedan. They will bolt on but will not close.
Ok, that's handy to know - looks like it won't be worth his effort & cost then. 8o|

Lancer door compatability

G'day guys, I'm selling a pair of back doors from my LA wreck & I'd like to know what other models/years the doors may be compatible with. I currently have an overseas buyer lined up & want to ensure I don't on-sell something that won't fit. Cheers Cunjie

I'm with Woops, check to see if the ball bearing hasn't fallen out. I too had the same problem on my LA a while back when I had the gearbox serviced, just needed to add another ball bearing and it was all good.

Good news, I finally found the engine number after suspecting it may have been shaved of during a previous engine rebuild. The number was merely unreadable due to a light coating of 'grime' & all it took was a light scrub with steel wool & WD40. Thanks to those members who directed me where ...

4G33 Engine Number

Hi guys,

I just had my 75 LA Lancer in for an interstate rego changover check & the guy couldn't locate the engine number. I've also had a good look but couldn't find the eng number either.

Exactly where should I be looking to locate the eng No?

Cheers,

Only a couple of hundred km's a year? That's not much. Shame to here about your dashboard, I did the same thing to my wagon.
