Re: centre/single point injection

Did the centre point thing about 10 years ago when my 4G62T blew up. Astron 2.0lt, BW35 auto, Microtech MT8 ecu, webber adaptor on the carby manifold with another adapter on top to mount the CPI. TO3 turbo with no intercooler, no tune on 10 psi made about 120KW 15.3 1/4 mile at calder park. With a t...

Re: need help with gearbox out of a gj sigma it to a ge

The Jap gearboxes come in different lengths. The GE ones were shorter than the GJ/K models. You need to look at the strips on the tailshaft to suit, they have dozens of different ones for sedan, wagon, Borgwarner, Jap etc.

How difficult would it be for someone with access to a lathe to produce the hubs and caliper adapter to gh strut with good quality steel?
Would have to be cheaper than the $1400 hoppers kit.

Of course it has held up with the standard 4G63.That what it is designed for, nothing more. Your best bet is a Supra 5 speed. Ther...

Don't know what engine you want to bolt it to, but I've seen 4g63's FWD using the RVR (import vans with the single sliding door) auto trans and have held up to big Hp. If you're using a g54 FWD, maybe it can be adapted as well.

You can always put an intercooler filter. It helps promote pressure drop to your intake.

I'll save you time and money. Get an adaptor and supra 5 speed, and drive it how it should be driven. Anything made by Mitsubishi will break.

I second that. Triton V6, great torque and very reliable if just serviced regularly.
At least the gearboxes aren't made of glass like the sigma ones either.

You can have a BW modified for firmer shift and it's good if your not making big power.
Anything over 150kw and your gonna need to go babyT/F.

Haha, you nailed it bro. I suggest skinny bald tires to reduce the strain on your driveline.
you'll need:
12 and 14mm sockets, spanners and a bucket to catch the oil for when the gearbox breaks.
May the force be with you.

I agree too. Let's face it FWD is crap. But if you can look past that, a Magna V6 would be a good alternative. I have at TJ V6 Magna daily driver and it's very reliable, good on fuel and I've towed cars no dramas.
I honestly can't believe people buy AU falcons over them????

What's so bad about autos? I guess each to their own. Manuals to me are for underpowered N/A sigmas that need a down shift to get the wheels to spin. Or a scandy kick to get the tail out. When your got a engine and auto set up making good power its enjoyable to drive in any gear its in. If your got ...
