l200 and LC Lancer Guards

Hey guys Long time no speak and I hope you have all been well. Lancer is currently sitting in the panel shop and I need to get the bottom of the front guards redone. I came across these l200 ones from Rare Spares and I remember a few of the parts on an l200 are interchangeable with the LC Lancer. Ju...

Re: lc lancer hatch

Not much has happened in the last 6 months. Ended up blowing the 4g63 up while starting. it's now seized up and then lost all motivation. Saw a picture of when I took it to the drags and that has motivated me again so engine will be coming out in the next couple of weeks and will be building a new o...

Re: Maverick

I bought a generic aluminium EJ EJ Holden 3 core radiator. had to make my own mounting brackets and i did cut up a bit of the radiator support. Have not had any over heating problems yet and I've had it running for almost 2 years now with the 4g63. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_tr...

i just did a 4g63 DOHC to a km119. You will need a narrow 4g52 flywheel and clutch.

Re: NSW Green Slips

look into why it's cheaper. It may provide less cover and not cover as many things. I have NRMA Green Slips as they cover anyone who drives my cars (a big thing in my house as the cars can be driven by up to 6 people). Not just that they also provide at fault driver cover too. For me though I have n...

apparently sigma ones work. I used starion ones for the engine. I also used the factory gearbox mount from the lancer with a few washers in between the bolt.

Re: L/100klm

the local BP in my area isn't that great either. I fill up from there and use more fuel pr 100km. see my signature for what I used to average with the 4g32 in the lancer. now days I average anywhere between 12 and 14 liters per 100. I am driving it a lot harder now though hahahaha. I have been filli...

Re: lc lancer hatch

Hey Scott, I removed the spacer with a hack saw by hand and keeping an eye on the heat and taking several breaks. I still need tot idy up the cutting which will probably close the gap a little but more. Machining the sigma gland to the diameter of the shock would probably work as it would allow it t...

Re: lc lancer hatch

Pulled apart the new sigma/scorpion strut assemblys to drop the commodore inserts in. Turns out they are too tall in the strut body. As you can see the gland nut doesn't even come close so idk how people have fitted them. commodore gland nut http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb350/Alexander_Metry-...

Mine were noisy. got the specifications from my workshop manual for both hot and cold. Definitely do them when hot. Even if you have the specifications for cold, they will still be noisy (no where near as bad) when the engine warms up. I can scan you the page tonight when I get home if I remember ha...

Re: Lowering Springs

Turns out the Koni Yellows strut body is too tall for the actual strtus. There is a small spacer that is welded on the bottom of the shock. I am going to see about getting this removed. then they should fit. I will post photos of what I am talking about tonight.

Looks fine!. Do you have any additional plans for the brake set up in her?. I'm working on the brake upgrade now. I have a pair of green struts ready to go in. New discs and pads only issue is that the springs sit unseated in the strut assembly as I am using kings lows (part no. kdlr-83). http://i1...

Re: Lowering Springs

Decided to bite the bullet and bought a pair of Koni Adjustable.

Part Number is as follows. Heard from a few people they will fit/can be made to fit. Plus being commodore they should always be available for the future.

So i just drew this up. Pretty sure this is how my car is wired up. It is running sequential ignition so i'll need to use all 4 dioded. Which wires should i be tapping into? is it the green ones (the ones that run from the ecu)? http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb350/Alexander_Metry-Thesecond/chr...
