Re: What'd I miss? Any OG members still around...?

Not at MMAL anymore.
Yes Tonsley certainly changed dramatically since then too.
Need another run in SA this year to catch up again.
Good to see you back on here too.
Cheers, JV

Re: scorpion v6

The VK was the last Aussie engine, not the VL. :D
VL engine was an imported 3.0 litre RB30E straight-six unit designed and manufactured by Nissan in Japan.
Back at the time we stated it was the best Commodore Nissan ever built!!

Love the passion, and great job by the way. For all those who want to have a go at my comment, then great I like your opinions, I don't think anyone here has a deliberately negative opinion. Also realise I like following all projects and appreciate that your car is your car, style it, build it, as y...

Re: My GE Sigma Build

Classic Japanese Muscle??? The car was designed, built and exported from Australia.
Team of Australians went to Japan with their mock ups, and some of that team still work at MMAL. But that's as close as you get.
As for Australian Muscle Cars, I'm not sure Sigma rates a mention.

Yep, and they are easy to get too by dropping the blower motor out, three screws from memory. I replaced the resistors in my red Scorpion.

Re: JV's Yellow GH Scorp

Oh yeah, the latest addition to the GH is an L plate holder. My daughter says she looks cool in it, so its hers :blah:
So any choice on wheels will be hers. I think the 9" speakers in the parcel shelf will be the only things she wants from the parts car!!

Re: JV's Yellow GH Scorp

All cars look good in photos :P Unfortunately the panels are more rust than panel. I have been told it was done up (modified suspension) but I have not got it in the air yet. It does have genuine Pacemakers, and sports exhaust that with a little help will fit a Triton  I have not looked ov...

Re: JV's Yellow GH Scorp

Hi Team™

Well unless someone wants to make me a decent offer for the Scorpion, it is getting shelved.
Work and family commitments are taking priority and the Scorpion is just another car to look after.
Until we meet again, stay safe, healthy and happy

Got the new windscreen installed today, and if you are in SA I recommend using Novus Glass  The Scottish bloke came out today and put new windscreens in the Triton (was somehow cracked while parked in the driveway last week), and the Scorpion. Happy to be wrong , but the Scorpion had the firewall moved and roof raised between models to increase the interior space.
How did it still meet the plenum properly?
I have a GK bonnet hanging on my wall as art :P

Great job so far Kristy
Have you tried one of the wheels on the Scorp yet? Not all 14" 114.3 fit as they foul the brake calliper.
Much faster progress than my long suffering GH, keep it up.
