As said 4G52 (2.0L) all narrow (auto and man). 4G54 (2.6L) Auto are narrow, manual are wide EXCEPT Magna 4G54, all those are narrow. Apparently there are some 2.6L blocks from a certain era floating around that are drilled for both wide and narrow, but ive only heard rumours of these and from bolt ...

Assuming the start point is a Astron II head: TR Magna ECU,ignition coil ,TP inlet manifold with TR injectors and rail,ISC (not needed),TPS,fuel pressure regulatoro2 sensor,purge solenoid,power transistor,air box and airflow sensor..........$375 Full TR wiring loom and TR ECU and TR Control relay......

Keeping the astron 1 head sounds a bit hard...dont know if its been done before .
I,ve got to add it up from when I did my LC....I keep all my receipts ,so I'll get back to you.

Just something you could try disconnecting your airflow meter and letting us know if it improves ,maybe fuel economy will be out the window/....Also yes I agree with hemi ...upsizing your fuel injectors should improve the situation.

What does your fuel system consist of?.

Try disconnecting the lead(i.e. plug) to the airbox and starting it.
Does it have a oxygen sensor?

Dan and I got some parts from them earlier in the year and Dan is rebuilding his motor with them(check in his build topic)...mine is still needing assembling. I bought 2 of the Ajusa head gaskets recently..., built for turbo 2.6 and reliably much better than best graphite ....still getting it all together so cant really comment.Danturbolancer would be closer.
the fella is good to deal with also.cheers

Thanks blokes I got email back from Haltech they said sprint 500 will be fine after explaining my application...it was abit wordy, the Microtech one was way short!...both around $1090 delivered.
I heard "cold start" can be a prob for the best of tuners....shrugs shoulders !

Aftermarket ECU for turbo 2.6

I am weighing up the options for turbo 4G54 and top of the list are a LT-10 Microtech or a Haltech E6X.
Can anyone advise me on which would be better?, and a recommended tuner in the Brisbane/Gold area ???...The local tuner actually said Autronic but it was going to cost an arm and a leg.

i agree^^^^^^^^. After fixing my starion i had a similar problem...you did say it is running rich???..as said that means when its idling you're getting BLACK smoke out you're exhaust pipe....idles like #rap and wants to stall. This is what I had wrong and the problem was that I had the EGR valve vac...

Yes I have a JB.Its a good car just replacing the inlet at the moment .
Keep the corrosion inhibitor in the coolant !.
