does the car still have the original block,narrow japs are harder to get ,and will the shifter still exit from the factory position ?,keeping it close to original is the best way to go,but bw 5speed sux :P i agree on the non polished turbo rims ,i think they had a machined look from factory,my old g...

beautiful work, I'm sure i have seen your car going through strathfield in the arvo,a while back but could not get close enough,either way super clean car and nice detailing work ,tourqe figures are very impressive.

thanks for that ,already had a look they are not cheap but worth it when you consider the brand is a oem replacement for cars like ferrari and such ,if the 16inch fits i will use it just need to measure it up as my bay is stock with air con act ,but i think it should be ok ,

when i sold my first gh turbo ,the new owner put a auto out of a scorp,standard stall,it went well with no probs ,but i don't know about freeway manners i suppose what geezer said set up properly ,it should be fine , actually i look forward to see how this set up goes.

excellent read on this topic,geezer101 ,don't want to get off track but apart from the cd 175 ,are there any other carbs people used to muck around with? a gh turbo i had years ago had a 45dcoe was a pig at times.

thats true cheater parts all my previous gh turbos had magna heads fitted i just want to keep the engine bay in this car stock looking ,i think i will just use the original headf with a 3 angle valve job ,have the cam and springs along with your adjustable cam gear ,most engine bays in gh turbos are...

get a sample and take it to the trimmers and start from there ,thats the best advice ,herringbone ? thats what my hq monaro had ,its a black and white pattern.

Back in the early to mid 90,s a bloke in my suburb had a gh the same colour as yours ,it was immaculate ,he had a ghturbo engine in it that my mate built for him with a webber and 3 inch exhaust ,lowered with polished turbo wheels ,this car was smick ,and would leave the bogan commodores and falcons...

what is the biggest valve size to run on a astron 1 head, or the next possible size up from standard? i know i can run a m6 or m7 head but want to retain the astron 1 head.has any 1 done this in the past ?

good to see the car is allways improving tim ,looking very nice ,i still belive the blue and black are the best looking out of the turbos,yes mud flaps and tow bars are a big no no for me on on older cars. car looks so much better,keep up the good work mate.

thanks for the reply mick and cheater,with the chain i will be after a complete kit this will be a complete engine rebuild,nothing crazy but something reliable , this engine will replace the 1 currently in my sigma.
