Re: Mic_77 Galant coupe
Long time between drinks car was for sale but unfortunately only tyre kickers were interested in it so I had an engineer look over it to see if he would consider registering it all is well and not much needs to be done for it to pass he is willing to allow upto a 4.8 ls1 in the car but the extra mod...

Might be a stupid question but you said that you used a monotorque gasket with a shim how did you seal the other side of the shim I am presuming you used 2 gaskets to sandwich the shim also are you running arp studs or standard head bolts.

It looked different to me when i removed the rear of my 2dr but I could be wrong. Paul has glass bars on his 2dr most people would not even know except for the silver paint.

I can get access to moulds for GC/GD bonnet, 2dr bootlid, GD front bar, 2dr rear bar but there is never enough interest to sort out someone to punch them out maybe one day.

Re: Roller rockers on non-roller cam??
Porsche lash adjusters are not cheap the copy's from scat and other brands are and it really shows in the quality of the product you need to look for mahle-wizemann as they supply them to Porsche any more info about the inserts you will need to talk to Paul Testa he is the one doing it.

Re: Roller rockers on non-roller cam??
Both profiles are very different best way is to use a roller cam with roller rocker gear but remove the hydraulic adjusters fit inserts and run Porsche (mahle) lash adjusters just my opinion.

Re: Astron billet cylinder head
You don't have to have it plumbed that way it is just there for added security in saying that most of Paul's setups now have electric water pumps so it is easy to plumb in 4 braided lines to push water in.

If you are not to worried about originality you can have it installed with no rubber I know a guy that does it and have seen a lot of his work looks a lot smoother.

Re: Astron billet cylinder head
If you cut up a standard head you will notice that there is no water getting to the top near the exhaust ports this creates a steam pocket and contributes to the heads cracking in the exhaust ports so Paul pushes water in there to help with cooling the exhaust ports. Billet rockers are easy and have...

Re: Astron billet cylinder head
Check the underside of the rockers is there a mark where the retainer has touched the rockers? more seat pressure won't hurt it either, beehive springs will sort out the other issue. An example of changing valve springs and upping the seat pressure Paul's car ran 8.80's with 45-50 psi snapped a coup...

The engineer I spoke with on a couple of occasions is happy to engineer my car once I change a few things one of them being the callipers he said that the hub and disc setup is fine. Re: Turbo350 Into GC Galant?
Mine is not running yet rx22nv can answer drivability questions. My reasoning behind it was purely financial. I am aiming for 500-550whp and I have a 4000 rpm dominello converter. I had a c9 setup with al's race glides prepped box, dominello 5500 converter, reinforced flexplate, bellhousing adaptor ...
