Re: 4g63 g/box onto 4g52?
I could fit a 1991 4G63 DOHC non turbo to a KM132 of a Lancer LB Hatchback (Celeste) without problems. The only thing that you have to do is to take the flywheel and clutch of a 4G52 (different diameter of the center hole in the flywheel for the input shaft of the gearbox)... other info you can find...

Re: put oil on head bolt threads?
U know what......get some appropriate assembly fluid....and torque the bolts as per the bloody manual lol :stupid: Normally the manual have the values in dry condition, if it should be lubricated it's mentioned. Otherwise here is an interesting read. Just scroll down to the "LUBRICATE OR NOT&q...

Maybe you could have yours overhauled, and if needed have it re-cored? You could have more waterchannels like that, enlarging the cooling surface like that...
Did that with mine.

Re: What is it worth?
I put new carpet in one of the mine a couple of years back. There are a couple of places in Sydney that do new carpets for them. I can't remember the company's name but they were in Lansvale in South west Sydney. Fitted really well and looked nice once done. This one? http://www.sibacarcarpets.com....

Re: What is it worth?
Nice one Michael! As for carpets: a long time ago I had contact with the guys of the website a bit lower. It sounds interesting as the carpets are moulded but holes are not cut out (for gear lever and stuff). The only thing is that they didn't really answer my question if they also have carpets for ...

Re: Twin delortos 40s on a 4g52
had a DHLA 40 from an Alfa Romeo on my 4G32. Don't see what people like on them, they just use more fuel and i didn't notice any gains, besides more noise... I just swapped engine to a 4G63 twin Mikuni, sounds way better and more power as well.

info request on this LC hatchback
Hey guys
Someone saw this LC hatchback being posted on the web today. It was taken during the recent Mopar Day in Australia.
Does anyone know anything about it?
I noticed it has 5-lugs wheels front and rear.
Thanks!
Sven

Re: lancer lb/lc hatch front struts
Hi, The stock shocks are normally oil filled ones. You could try to replace the oil but the easier solution is to drain the oil and install strut inserts. I've done that in mine. As far as I can remember Sachs still have them. I'm not sure but the partnumber could be FI110075... Hope this helps... C...

Might be the wrong slant angle then Cottees: I think Galant, Galant GTO Lancer and maybe also FTO used a 60° angle. Celeste should have 45°...Cottees wrote:Hmm.. I may be interested in those door cards. The mirrors I got set from the US. They came off a GTO from what I can tell.

I had the twin carb version of this engine in my Celeste (originally from 1982 Saporro GSR) I think you are wrong Cottees: it's not "Ignition" but "Injection". Ignition still works with the distributor and big coil pack iso electronically controlled coil packs. On the other hand ...

Re: NEED HELP! WHAT ENGINE IS THIS?
From your description I would say it's a 4G63 SOHC (8 valve) engine. Found in Lancer Turbo, Starion and Saporro Turbo/Scorpion. ECI stands for Electronically Controlled Injection.
