So not much has happened with the car since my last post. Put a bit over 3000kms on it which was mostly trouble free. Swapped a welsh plug that was leaking. I updated the main battery to starter lead with a 0 gauge wire. Cranks like it should now except solenoid is a bit worn so need to replace it. ...

Thanks for the help so far guys. I have been to two seperate paint shops with a photo of the id plate and according to thier systems my paint is silver. Cheers for that. Ive found some touch up that is a very close match which will do the trick. Love the idea for the clutch tube. Will trynand get some photos when i do it to post up.

The adjustability sounds good lol. Yea they also came out in blue on silver aswell. That was the model i originally wanted, there was a little old lady drove one ine perth. Was immaculate manual and probably low kms to. Only ever saw it ince a week to get groceries. Wonder where it ended up :think:

I run premium with a turbo fuel pump Run from the control relay. The exhaust has a apexi can on the rear standard centre muffler and pipe with extractors. Relatively sure the tps or dizzy at fault and isc motor isn't working either just got the multi meter out haha

Hey 84gksig thanks for that I previously had ego running on a astronomy 1 block with the magna head,worked ok but felt flat through the revs. This motor is the gn motor with efi runs smooth but even slower than the low comp motor. I will be testing it just have to find the wire and my led light not difficult to find if I back probe the ecu :thumpsup: so glad I had a tr manual and a sigma mqanual haha

Thanks for that I set it to that sounds right but still gutless and adjusted one way it pinged the other it was even flatter. Fully charged battery had slow cranking and wasn'. Flat flat starter motor went from working to dead at the solenoid overnight gonna pull it and bench test it, at this point I'm extremely unlucky 2nd bad starter doing efi lol thanks for the help will keep you posted

Ah ok cool had a fiddle tonight there power from key at starter solinoid but nothing so gonna drop starter out an bench test it got a spare that works so will give it a go

Hey scorpma82 the dizzy isn't advancing timing so it's getting replaced can it really kill cranking I added an extra earth with little success motor was cranking with carb efi is what slowed it down was running ok last night this morning not even a click at starter battery low so it's on charge now.

Hey guys into a efi swap into a gj ss can anyone shed some light on wiring in the engine bay. What old carby wiring can be removed? I know the box to power the dizzy can but the old coil wires etc can they go? And the ballast resistor, can it all be chopped or will I lose power at ignition? Cheers

New motor isn't in yet that is the original motor overheating has a blown head. All I have done is put fuel in it since I got it haha just put the clutch on the gn motor today. Few things to do yet trying to do it all properly I plan on keeping this one love it so nice to drive.
