Re: 3D Printing!

Are you using 3D autocad? I use Autodesk inventor at work for most of our designs and is a fair bit easier in my opinion to use for 3D modelling. I've dabbled a bit with the 3D printer at work for making up some basic 3D models for our customers. I've also measured and modelled up a couple of design...

I'd be keen on hardtop ones. I was planning of eventually getting some made up sometime in the next few years and maybe 3D printing them. I have one LHS NOS perfect one that I bought from skap but only really rough ones of the opposite side. So rough they definitely wouldn't transport without crumbl...

Not a GTO but still cool. It's about 200mm long and the roof lifts off where cigarettes were previously kept and is meant to play a tune. I still have to fix the music box mechanism. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk91/woops1234/P1000678.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk91/woops1234/P100...

What you are describing is probably a GH scorpion and a GH sigma diff. The scorpion have the same mounting positions but the the bushes are on the upper control arms instead of on the diff. Also the sigma has the borg warner with the 8 bolt flange on the back and the scorpion have the stronger jap d...

Re: Surge tank / Swirl pot

The other thing that could be a bit of a concern with sending the fuel rail return back to the tank is that you need to make sure your low pressure lift pump flows much more than the fuel pump feeding the fuel rail. Otherwise if you use a small lift pump the surge tank would quickly empty during nor...

I reackon stick to your guns on the price. The right buyer would be prepared to pay that kind of cash for a classic sigma in that kind of condition. A standard sigma in that condition would be asking somewhere between 3000 to 4000.

It's easy enough to get the wheel nuts that will suit.

Take a look at this thread.

The 4g63 and the G63B is pretty much the same engine. I've found that the G63B are typically a FWD engine and some may have been converted to a RWD style. That's from my experience though.

There is always another simple option of using a thermo fan switch and wire in a simple relay for it. A fair bit cheaper and simpler then the davies craig one but just not adjustable. Although you don't normally need a thermo fan running anywhere below about 70 degrees at the absolute lowest. And th...

Why don't you get them to make a couple of key measurements of their doors. Maybe get some measurements like the size of the window frame, length at the bottom of the door and distance between the hinges. It'd be the easiest way to confirm it is the same size at least.

Re: Custom aircon for galant.

I've considered this for while I'm putting a 4g63 into the coupe. The nicest option would be to splice the interior cooling core into the standard airbox but it's way to small to retain the heater too. The under dash units would definitely be the simplest option and is still fairly period specific. ...

Re: What do you get from a tank?

I get about 10.5L/100km in my gb 1.6L auto on a suburban circuit where I rarely get over 80. When i start going highway speeds the consumption goes to something more like 11.5L/100km. These measures were taken over a duration of about a dozen fill ups in a row so they are pretty accurate.
