Re: LC Lancer Circuit/Rally Car
Took a deposit on the car yesterday, it's going as a rolling shell so a heap of parts will be up for sale in the next couple of weeks. I haven't worked out prices yet, feel free to make really big offers :) Some of the parts for sale will be: Nissan H190 diff, shortened to Lancer width, Sigma discs/...

Re: LC Lancer Circuit/Rally Car
I'll get some pics on the weekend, not much to see of it, it's a pretty basic setup.
Forget major fab work, it will end up staying in the garage for years not going anywhere!

Re: Lower control arms
I've got a set or two of Lancer tie rod adjusters that should sort out the toe. Might need to change the "long" tie rod to a Lancer one as well. Got some Lancer arms if you want to go shorter or need less camber.
Now where are the pics???

Re: Electrical or Mechanical gauges
Do you really want hot oil running in to the cabin? Mechanical gauges are not a good idea when they are going to be mounted inside the car. They are also much harder to mount up compared to electrical ones. As for reliability, look at what they put in cars from the factory.

Re: Hopper stoppers brake upgrade
Going with Starion brakes is a very short term thought, parts are too hard to get and it's not much of an upgrade given the hassle. Stick with some common calipers so pad selection is easy, the last thing you want is to need pads and have to wait weeks for them in any decent material. VT Commodore a...

Re: Lower control arms
Newer Sigma control arms fit and are about 5cm longer, you will need to find two sigmas so you can get two longer tie rod adjusters to get the steering working properly (one side on the Sigma has a longer tie rod that you won't use) I think it's GJ onwards that have the longer ones, earlier are the ...

Same place that supplied the rubbers in the LA, fitted perfectly, no complaints here.

Re: I need shorter shocks then camira ones
Thanks, no rush, it will be a while until I get to the front suspension changes. At the moment I can only go about 2inches lower then stock before I start to run out of suspension travel, looking for another inch or two lower (with other changes to make it still handle)

Re: I need shorter shocks then camira ones
Karl, can you measure your strut body for me? Wan't to compare it to the ones I have. I need some real short ones for the new setup. (Along with some RCA adjusters, longer again control arms, etc. etc.)

Re: Advice wanted
Lancer has stalled for a while, been working on/racing an LC but it hasn't been completly neglected. If I get a few days free, there should be an update with a few bits in it. Superlites are on the LC (along with the brakes and front suspension) at the moment.

Re: Advice wanted
Go strut tops to get some decent settings in the front, add some decent shocks at the rear with an extra half leaf and a decent arc on the springs which may require lowering blocks or reversed eyes. A bigger sway bar at the front will not help at the moment, it may feel better, but it will be slower.

Re: LA reverse light switch
There is a ball bearing that needs to go in before the switch, if it's missing, the light stays on.

Re: Advice wanted
What usage and what budget? A freshen up with good quality shocks, stiffer springs, new rubbers everywhere and a decent alingment makes a huge difference to your average street car. After that it gets expensive, then it gets ridiculous!

Re: Lancer drift suspension setup
www.k-mac.com.au do the strut tops, get the "race" ones, the street ones are crap. 8kg/mm springs are way too stiff, 6kg/mm is about what you want, but it may need tweaking which is a good reason to have coil over style springs. Easy to get in various rates and lengths off the shelf. You w...

Re: Advice wanted
you are using the wrong offset wheels if you can't get 6inch wide wheels to fit without needing flares. 15x6 +24 with 195/50x15's fit fine and look good. The only mod you might need is a small amount of camber on the front depending on the suspension setup.

Few things done on this recently. Few more horses with a bigger throttle body, changed to 4.1:1 gears, fitted new rear pads, fitted a panhard rod to the rear and then put it up for sale http://www.my105.com/classified.asp?id=15911

Re: 15" front tyre size??
I have 195/50x15 on 15x6 +24offset wheels, they fitted on the LA without any body mods (until I put in longer control arms, then it needed some flares). On the LC they fit with the longer control arms without any issues at all. 195/60x15's on a spare set of rims rub on the top of the arches when tur...

Re: Hopper stoppers brake upgrade
A minor update for this thread, trial fitted some R32 skyline 4-spot callipers today. Still using the NSX rotors at the moment. All fits up good but does not fit under the current 15x6 superlites, they do fit under the new 15x8 XXR's that I have so all good for the future. http://www.hoonboy.com/tmp...

Yep, got one about six weeks ago.oldn64 wrote:Seeing as we are talking gear selector parts can you still get the bakalight ball bush that is in the shifter sleeve thing... Basically turn the shifter upsidedown and you will see a reddy brown plastic ball. That is what I am looking for......

Re: EFI 4G32
If you use a standard distributor setup, you will be stuck with batch firing the injectors, which works fine, but not as good as sequential. You should convert to electronic ignition lock it solid and use the computer for ignition timing.

Re: LC Lancer Circuit/Rally Car
They are both height adjustable, but only the koni's have adjustment in the shocks themselves. Stock scorpion brakes from what I can tell. You'll need to go buy something, nothing for sale from me until after Wakefield at the earliest unfortunately. There are a heap of options for the front, the rea...

Neither are being sold at this point in t...

So how much for the hubs and brackets for the Nissan 4-spot setup?.
