Re: 1979 Chrysler Sigma Scorpion GH Build

Finished Etch Priming today got the whole car done and all the rust removed.

Hopefully be able to apply the body filler and primer Monday and Tuesday.

Any tips on applying body filler would be great as this is my first time
doing it.

Re: 1979 Chrysler Sigma Scorpion GH Build

I haven't rubbed it all down yet as it is raining, I have the car covered but will be applying the rust remover and wax and grease remover soon as it stops hopefully tomorrow or Sunday. By wiping it down you did mean wiping it down with the wax and grease remover? I have kept all the panels dry and ...

Re: 1979 Chrysler Sigma Scorpion GH Build

Thanks. I will make sure to put acrylic clear on it then.

Why won't a 1.4mm tip work for acrylic?
I have had some people tell em it will.

Thanks

Re: 1979 Chrysler Sigma Scorpion Project

Hey Dave I will go and see if I can get some other tip sizes for the gun. The fast fit connector is the one that connects the compressor to the hose? If so mine is silver and is bigger than the pipe it connects to and the diameter of the connector is as big as the hose. Definitely will have fun with...

Re: 1979 Chrysler Sigma Scorpion Project

Thanks tubby Thanks a bunch oldn64 for the info and tips. They will help me so much. The compressor I have was the best I could get as I don't have heaps of money and no 3phase or 15amp power.
