Re: GH hydrualic clutch

hehehehe.....

What setup do you have at present? Biggest thing with hydrolics is to make sure everything alignes properly. I would be re-enforcing the firewall too as your will find it will flex with that setup.

Re: Hey, V8 Lexus Galant Build, Hope You Like

If needing to weld or cut the column you wil need it ...

Re: Head Gaskets

As Cheater has stated you will not have a head gasket failure for oil at the back..... I will always run hylomar on my head gaskets and have never had issues. What torque settings are you using? do you torque things down in the three stages? when they have failed have you studied the head gasket to ...

Ok just to add my two.two cents (has GST... ;) ) Your 17, and while that is not a bad thing it is something to take into consideration. You will not have a huge budget nor a wealth of know yet, sure things are do able but start small, we all had too so why should this be any different. Dont think I ...

I believe it is housed somewhere down south gippsland (namely Meeniyan) Colour is Green, it has been sprayed a more british racing green and the engine bay is the original ar...

Re: GH hydrualic clutch

Personally I would stay cable dude. far easier to replace gives some warning before breaking and you are able to fix something to at least get you home.

Cheers

Re: 4g63t that is oging into my GB---HELP

AInlet will need to be turned yes firewall does need to be cut and boxed. yes it will be lethal. A mate has one in his LB lancer I race with, bloody quick car and very neat conversion. He is running a lancer diff still and a W56 box, only lunched it mid last year after 10 years of happy running. Che...

Guy can vouch for both Stealths and mic_77 engineering both top class. Yes modifying can be bloody expensive but when you look at something different then expect...

Re: Galant coupe front windscreens

If you are in melbourne I have a good windscreen bloke. I went through this sarger when I tried getting a windscreen for my Hillman Gazelle. I had price of $1100 for just the glass. I also had obriens state that they cannot get anything that was not built in Australia. (pity the Gazelle was designed...

Stealth you will definately need to import if you wish to get your hands on one easily. I have been thinking about it for sometime but seeing as I imported a RX3 wagon from japan two years ago I have not recovered properly from that yet. Jap NZ USA or phillipienes (SP?) phil will have a good rust th...

Re: Distributor part numbers - GC/GD ?

With a bit of surgery you can get other later model dizzys in there, but it depends on what exactly you want out of the car and how much you can do yourself/want to spend. If like myself when racing it is purely budget budget then oil change and service is all you really need to do. keep a check on ...

Re: Hey, V8 Lexus Galant Build, Hope You Like

Doesnt look like you have a great deal of room for the Exhaust with the Steering box there. Is it going to work? Great that no modifications needed to the Sump, and that the gear stick matches straight upto the hole. Would the W58 Gearstick be in a different position than the W55?? Are you going to...

Re: galant gsr starting probs ( when cold )

What does the car actually do when trying to start? turn over normal speed and cough or just turn over? when it does burst into life do you need to keep cranking it until it fires fully? I think I have a wiring diagram somewhere here (although I have just moved so it might take me a little to find i...

Re: GB Galant... what are they worth?

Kirsty, Definately a neat example and as the others have stated it would be worth trying to fix it. Worse case scenario look at some of the forum members up your way helping to fix it. You can re-engine fairly easily and would be able to get a reconditioned engine for easily $400. In fact if you cou...

This is so hard to dicide. I have had 2 GB sedans, 3 GD's a GC sedan a GB wagon and 2 GC coupes. Funny enough not one single headlight amongst any of them, yet I have 4 GC grills.... :wut: I cannot decide even though my first galant was a GB and my race car was a GB... hmmmmmm (definately prefer the...
