Re: GC Galant Queries
You know you want one too Jason :P Gormzz if you don't want your bridgey I'll take it lol. Just get a set of springs made to what you need, it only costs a few hundred. A good panard rod setup will do ok with a scorp diff if you dont mind beating the guards a bit to get a decent tyre under there. lo...

Re: GC Galant Queries
I like the way this guy thinks. Not many here like the idea of us putting dirty rotas in our galants lol. I'm putting one in a gc coupe but hopefully Pp na not turbo and it will be solid mounted with an engine plate. For me a rota is working out cheaper than a 4g63t by a long way, until I loose my 1...

Re: Our new/old 75 Kermit Galant
No worries mate. just get the bloody thing going lol I want to hear it running again. Use hiace engine mounts or you will keep tearing the stock ones, i dont think I gave you any of them. Did I give you the gearbox xmember with the modded mount? you will need that too if I didn't. Are you going to p...

Blocks will end up going, just there for now to work heights out. Kings will do the springs at any height you want, eyes reversed and all that stuff not sure how much lower without blocks. They are custom ones from kings in there now only cost 200 or so. tramp meh.. snapping engine mounts and box mo...

Re: GC coupe track build
thanks guys, No progress lately apart from re arraigning the shed. scored myself a fine for unnecessary noise with a vehicle, so that chewed up my bell housing money for another month  Driveby finally got off my arse and got the photos for you. Re: GC coupe track build
Got some pics coming tonight of the suspension for you. Things will more than likely change again though. No shocks atm, now that we are in sports sedans we will probably run a coil over rear. The top arms are cut and a spherical bearing is welded on then it's attached to the chassis rail. If you wa...

Re: GC coupe track build
Minor update. Finally got the car back to Qld and have stripped it all down again and set it off for sandblasting. If anyone is removing body tar i highly recommend the dry ice route, i had the car done in under an hour. Just order it in pellets not the block form. Pour over the floor, leave for abo...

Re: GC coupe track build
What do you want to know Algie?
I know its a 10 bolt out of a GK scorp, it would have fitted ok if the car wasn't so low.
63 is getting a bit heavy for my liking but the powers are good.

Re: GC coupe track build
Stop saying turbo, you are going to convert me lol. It will be in the 2nd build I'm sure but the 32 will go in for now. What 4GT would you look at for the job? A 91, 92 or 93? Or go to g6's? They all make good power but which is going to be the most economical build and moreso lightest? My engine bu...

Re: GC coupe track build
Best thing in the colts was using the 2 speed splitter in every gear lol Back to the shitter... Is there any reason these oval track rims won't work? For the price I can't go past them and they come in a few different offsets. They are a bit heavy at 9kg's and not as sexy as the Trd ones. http://www...

Re: GC coupe track build
The motor I have is no slouch, before the rebuild it had 120hp atw, but there is never any substitute for more powers  That's the reason for the mivec, to keep it in the <1600. I've always been a fan of the smaller high revving na motors. From what I've read 150-160hp atw out of a 92 is pr...

Scorpcollector, I'll get Dennis to send me the vid of the excavator crushing it. It didn't last very long lol. The cage was rubbish in the sedan, I never felt safe being in it. Never let panel beater mates weld cages in :hit: Have you got many jap 5 speeds left? The last one I got off you is a bit r...

Re: GC coupe track build
Fab work finished for now. Bringing it home to Qld at the end of next month. Probably wont have any updates for a while, unless you want to see the dust collecting on it until i find the cash to finish it off. Re: GC coupe track build
Looks like any chance of running in Improved Production has gone out the window lol. Ol mate didn't want to compromise his desired ride height, so when the diff hit the floor there is only 1 option. Thanks for the diff Aaron, it's in better nic than I thought it would be. Now I need to find another ...

We run a x3 on the dirt sprint track at QR. pretty much the same story as Damian. It the toughest little thing I have ever driven.. Can't break the thing, yet. We have eBay 2nd hand konis and 15" wrecker special alloys. Need to bend the exhaust again to get the gas away, you get a bit high afte...

I shit myself when I 1st saw it, how the hell am I going to afford tyres to fill that gap.......
Got the 10bolt scorp diff going in this week, so we will see how much room that takes up. I'm thinking not much..
