That's great news, Giert.
I hope your Galant passes the EU safety control check next week.
Good luck!

Looking good so far. How do you think you'll go matching that on the rear as there's less room (because of the door).

Re: Sigma drawings

Haven't drawn anything for a long while so thought it was time to draw the wagon again and maybe update my banner. The wagon is actually running Globe montego rims (from GH turbo) but they are tricky to draw -so drew some generic JDM style barrels instead :P http://i985.photobucket.com/albums/ae340/...

Re: 1979 Colt Sigma from the cold north

Hi Giert, Cool sigma, good to see another one of these surviving on the other side of the world. Are you sure your parklights were rewired and you don't just have a blown fuse or faulty column switch? Here's some wiring diagrams i've just scanned. There's a pre mid-1978 and after mid-1978 version so...

Re: i think i'm a newbie!!

Hi Kezrob23, Welcome to the site -I got my first sigma in 98 and got about 7 years of service out of it also. It was reliable till the end -it was even driven to the wreckers. Sometimes a car can get to a point where it has literally no good parts on it and yet still runs. Are your rims any of the b...

Is the Hemi 265 so heavy that it would need to be placed so far back in the engine bay or am I missing something? You could just about fit another engine in front of that. :wut:

Re: Halp meh, Oh halp meh!!

dunno that much about welders but a thermistor would need to be where it's hot (not on the PCB) and it decreases resistance as it gets hot. I would say if it is no go at room temp then it has probably failed (closed circuit -not open circuit). Try and find which two wires go off to the thermistor, (...

I'd keep the chrome trim as it is too.
some well worn SSR longchamps or similar (with or without flares) and it would be super-win

If it's in good nick, and it doesn't offend you then i say keep it :D

but if you were intending to put some modern rims on it or colour code bumpers and trim etc.. then you'd have to remove it i think

Re: Suspension Geometry and lowering

i'm pretty sure that you get the least body roll when your centre of gravity is the same as your centre of roll. Cars like the Toyota FT86 are designed so that the centre of gravity and roll are both low -that means they can run relatively soft suspension. The result is something that handles well a...

Shuggy wants a heavy duty paint for underneath the effect paint so that the panels are well protected. The effect paint will be put over the top. I don't know very much about paints so I dunno  But I guess you want a paint with low porosity like enamel or something? Or what about having a cle...
