Re: dents in gd wagon roof.

Find your local paintless dent removal firm and get a price from them. A lot cheaper than a panel shop.
If the sealer between the roof braces and the roof has proken, get some Sikaflex 255 adhesive and run a thick bead between the braces and the roof. This will fix a lot of the floppyness problems.

Re: If I lowered the wagon?

Dave,I wouldn't lower it too much..the ride quality will go out the window. My XD ESP that I had was fitted with Bilstiens front and rear,Selby Front coils and Phase 3 rear leafs and was only 50mm lower than factory. It rode like an absolute bag of crap (although it handled like a race car). My GA o...

Re: Opinions on new paint job

I painted a few of my old R/C boats a similar colour to your Sig,but in Clear Over Base and added 25% Lilac Pearl tinter to the yellow. When it was cleared, the Lilac showed through as a pinkish tinge in the yellow. I also painted a Suzuki 50 quad for my mates son in that colour and added some PPG Pr...

Dave, not being a smart ass,but a 180B is a P610. A 710 is like an oversized 120Y in appearance and there are only a couple in Oz and they were private imports.

Re: Dodge dealer performance parts from the 80's

I am not aware of how it would or wouldn't be, my point was it is NOS rare factory parts. This is the sort of thing people will be killing for in 10 more years. 18 years ago I sold my XA GS Fairmont Coupe for $1500 because no one wanted them, if I had it now it would be worth $30,000 as it was. Now...

They are available,as our mechanic disassembled his B45s for me to paint. Rather than get shafted by Strap on,try an engineering supplies like Blackwoods or similar. They carry a pretty good range of specialty tools.Worth the phone call.

I am not sure if it was that car or not,but years ago, there was a TV ad for Sigma that showed a much modded, winged and flared Sigma doing a hot? lap of Bathurst. Anyone remember it?

I have been using 2pack since the early 1980s and have used most brands. One of the best to use <I found was actually one of the cheaper brands,Protec. Most of my 2Pack usage was euther Spies Hecker and Standox. I am not really biased towards Acryilic as I have won concourses with both. I did a TA23...

Re: Respraying a Sigma

a good painter will get as good a job if not better with 2 pac as anyone can with acrylic and it will last alot longer and be easier to maintain. the amount of peel you get depends on a range of things from thinning ratios to heat and air pressure. That may be true, but I'm good enough to be able t...

Great idea. Unfortunately,I won't be posting any pics of my Galant until it is finished. The car itself is a 1 owner 1971,1.5 Automatic GA Galant deluxe. I bought it from the origional owner when she had to hand her license in for .........$500. It is 100% origional with no rust or panel damage, I r...

Re: RUST !!!!!

I have to disagree with tandanus about sill panel repairs. Sills are an important part of the body shells integrity. The car will twistand sag with weak sills and will have greatly reduced side impact protection. Pillars, sills, floors and chassis rails should ALWAYS be fully welded, not only for your ...

I bought a GA Galant in 1978 that was a fully prepared rally car. I had a ball with it over the next 4 years, running it in autocrosses, motorkhanas and a few rallies. I sold it to purchase my 2nd LJ XU1 and have just recently bought another GA (straight, rust free,37000 miles, one lady owner)to build u...
