Re: 4g63 sohc 2l
Back in the late '80's, my dad ran single cam 4g63 in his old GB Galant which went fairly hard. It had factory twin solex's and a gs cam from a Supporo GSR (NZ Scorpion).
The problem is trying to find these in NZ is hard to come by now.

I saw this for sale on the side of the road when I went up to Coffs Harbour in January.
I think I posted something in the spotted section on here when I got back from Coffs.

Re: New from the States Two Colts and a Sapporo
The Supporo and the Colt Hatch are very nice.
I also noticed that the Stazza is a narrow body. Thought all the ones you guys got were wide body ( which my brother has one of and are quite rare here in Australia as they weren't old here). Is it a 2.0or a 2.6?

Re: Galant in the Targa Tasmania!
I went down for the event to do a bit of spectating. don't worry Dave, Dan can definately drive the thing. On one of the stages he was only a second slower than the V10 Audi R8. The engine in it was only putting out 90KW. If it wasn't for engine issues I think he could of quite possibly won his clas...

Hi Lex,
I know these were sold in NZ and there was a 1.5L (I think) turbo motor. Friends of the family over there used to have a turbo one and it didn't go to bad.

Depending on what date is set for it and my availability I'm always keen.
If it's the end of March the 22nd/23rd is no good for me as I'll be on call.
If it's ok with others here, I'll see if my brother will bring his wide body Starion.

Dave,
If it's the green wagon you're talking about don't worry about it, that's a very tidy car.

Gald to see you decided to go with the original colour rather than black. You should be proud of the paint job you've done, it looks really good and the pepper pots really suit the car.

I've been up at Coffs the past week and there is a purple GE Scorpion convertible for sale. They're asking $2500 for it . Didn't stop to have good look at it but it looked ok.

When dad had the Galant he sourced a factory twin setup from the UK. Yours looks similar to the factory one.

Your hardtop is looking really good Jas. I like the JDM front end on it.
Is the twin exhurst system a factory one?
I have to get around to getting mine fitted.

Welcome to the site. That's a great looking Galant you've managed to score there.
I think my dad replaced the boot lid on my hardtop with one from a Sigma when he owned it. I try to remember to ask him.

Well they've already done it to just about all the 1600's and Z's so they got to find something else to destroy.

Sorry to hear about the accident.
I think I now the bank you hit. My mate nearly did the same in his 1200 while I was calling the notes for him.
That jump is a lot of fun though.
