Re: GA Khancross Project - "Morgan"

Unfortunately, not long after the jump, I got too close to an embankment (the road is HEAVILY cambered toward the embankment) and when accelerating out of the corner, the back stepped out and we clipped the embankment, broke a tie rod, bent the RH chassis rail and didn’t get any further :knock: http...

Next event was a state motorkhana round at Nirimba TAFE. Interesting day - first run consisted of a big launch and then... Ummm, yep... Forgot about this thread :$ The build happened late 2010/early 2011 after I put the 4G54 in the LC. Early Galants do not have a booster, so I made an adaptor to use a Corolla booster and Sigma master. http://home.exetel.com.au/gaz914net/Pics/G_Galant/06062010077_low.jpg http://home.exet...

Back in the 80's, a bloke told me that TD Cortina headlamps could be made to fit.
Unfortunately, they are probably like rocking horse shite now as well :(

I haven't found anything either - although I don't need them to work on the khana car!

We we're always going to get it back. Shannons may not be the cheapest insurer around but they're the only ones that I know of that would give us a recovery option in the policy. Had it gone the other way it would have broken my heart to have to part it out but I would have made sure it was all goi...

Small snag in the plan, Hi/low have a different "lug" pattern than Hi beams, so you actually can't* fit them in each other's backing 'shells'
H4 lamps and relays FTW.

Re: Josh & Chris' GE Scorpion rally car- Planning stage

I built 2 x GJ Sigma khanacross cars (Sigma of Death I & II) on the very cheap. My 'must haves': power steering - so much quicker than the manual, on dirt you can do without the pump if desired. front springs/shocks - self explanatory race seat - so much easier to drive/control thorough preparat...

Hi all I'm in the process of going through A big brake upgrade, now I have done a lot of research and seen my lack of options. Re: Ball joints: GA/B vs GC/D

GA/GB has a smaller 'stud' diameter than GC/GD - ie the tapered part. I had a problem many years ago (long story) where we had to put a GC balljoint into a GB 'knuckle'/steering arm. Took a long time with a file to make the arm fit - but bolted on OK from there. This was about 1983 and we were using...

TR block, TR head and TN EFI is what I put in the LC GJ block, TN head and TN EFI for the GA Both stock, both 'feel' similar, although gearing. weight etc is much different, so it's hard to compare directly. GJ block is easier than the TR block - nothing "major", just little things. cheers...
