Thanks mate for posting those scanned images the engineer took a copy and was satisfied with what he saw. I think the years go in alphabetical order so I believe P would be 1983.

Hi mb, There are lots of factors that effect compression and if you want to be accurate about your 10.5:1 be prepared to do lots of measuring, more than once have a look on the net there are calculators you can use. There are a number of ways to raise compression you can deck the block, use dome top...

Re: what i might be getting my galant painted

Hi Dean, I think that would look awsome mate. I was only thinking on the way back from Wisemans Ferry, between the bends, that the GD lines look so clean in white. Also, there is no easier colour to keep clean and repair than white.

Re: How to read the serial number on an Astron block.

Well I went and had a look at the vehicle data information supplied by the rta to inspection stations and I could not find any example of my engine number. There were M5341M but no M431N and there were other numbers that were close, but no cigar. Mind you they are labelled as examples. I was wonderi...

Dan You are spot on mate. Unfortunately the government, rta, and many other industries are making a lot of money from us with modified cars. Another argument could be they are trying to get us out of old cars and would like us to all buy new cars as they would make even more, stamp duty, sales tax e...

Re: galant 4g52 evidence

Yeah it looks like the A115 was the 4g52 2ltr and there are a couple of brochures on the site but all in japanese. I need something I can take to the guy who is doing my blue slip and say here these came out with a 2ltr. I am not sure if they had to come out in Australia with a 2ltr? I have read on ...

galant 4g52 evidence

Hi guys, I have read in a more than one post on this site that some of the galant coupes came out and were sold in Australia with 4g52's. What I am chasing is some documented evidence that would prove this to the guy doing my blue slip. You see I have changed the engine in my gd from a 1.6 to a 2ltr...
