It the only book so affected so I assume the shiny coating has a high accident content or something. No sign of silverfish either and all my bookshelves are also coated with insect surface spary to discourage them.

Warning - Factory Workshop Manual Pages Turning to Dust

Just tried to use my Factory Australian Mitsubishi Workshop Manual Chassis Volume Pub. No. WE890346 to check the circuit diagram and found most of those shiny sort of plasticized circuit diagram pages had turn to dust and of course the one covering the Australian Hatchback was the worse effected. So...

Re: Slow Winsdcreen Wipers

Also check that longer than stock blades have not been fitted (as people often do). The longer blades will greater windscreen coverage than the pitiful coverage the very short stock ones do, but the extra friction will slow the wipers down and also stress the motor.

Dorman make a range and some of the ones listed for Dodge and Plymouth may fit. Have a look on Amazon and the Summit websites.

The dash light dimmer rheostat switches contacts bend and fail to make full contact. Essentially it a potentiometer or variable resistor and you are left with a dimmer switch that can't be turned to the zero resistance position. You can sometime bend the turning plate but you can simply replace it w...

Try an Ultrasonic cleaner first. If all else fails (this is a last resort nothing to lose measure) soak it for no longer that 5 minutes in strong solution of liquid toilet cleaner (Harpic, Sanifresh, Snowbowl or whatever) and water. This acid solution will attack and clean away the aluminium oxide (...

Scorpion bumpers would I think look better but are probably as hard to find as Lancer bumpers. On reflection rather than being sectioned perhaps the cut and weld was to get the Sigma bumper to line up parallel to the Lancer rear end.

Re: LC rear bumper end cap

I have seen a Sigma front rear bar on a Lancer here it WA. A close look showed it had been sectioned (a bit cut out of the middle and the two ends then welded together) and the look didn't grab me as the Sigma bumper is more angular (especially the front) than the Lancer but it was better than no bu...

Re: Miscellaneous

You can slotted and cross drilled front disks on ebay and a Japanese car importer should be able to get you a twin car and manifold setup from a related Japanese domestic model that will fit. eg http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsu-LANCER-LA-LB-LC-74-81-Front-Gold-RDA-Disc-Brake-Rotors-/140706249255?pt=...
