I would recommend toyo R1R's if you can get them in your size, I had them on my s15 and they were pretty amazing in the dry and the wet

who machined your head jason? I am guessing whoever machined your head used too much rake, which has caused a high spot in the middle of your head. It is a very common practice in machining shops >_<

Thanks for the diff Aaron, it's in better nic than I thought it would be. Now I need to find another centre, that dirty 3.3 is way to high. All good mate, glad it could be of use to you instead of it just collecting dust here, I didn't know what ratio it was though :P I was planning to put it in my...

Re: High Compression 2.6L Astron.
Another bit of kit arrived this week, a complete EDIS setup (Electronic Distributor-less Ignition System). It also comes with an aluminium pulley.. This will allow me to use electronically controlled timing with the carbies. the motec in my galant just uses the ref/sync from a magna dizzy, are ther...

Re: im going clutch (and gearbox) shopping
well a bit of food for thought, I know a guy who races a 4age ae86 non turbo circuit car and he runs a w58 BUT he has blocked out 5th gear because he said it puts too much strain on the housing and can cause the box to blow, I don't know how factual that is or if it's just speculation, but it is jus...

I could help you out with some of it as I just wired and tuned a motec into my car. Depending on what parts you are using though. ie, injectors (standard or aftermarket), which coil and sensors.

Re: Peter Wherrett/Sigma turbo wheels touching strut
that sounds very strange to me, my turbo wheels fit fine on my old gj :S is it hitting on both sides? lowering it and changing shocks shouldn't make any difference as it wouldn't change the offset or camber angle at the stub axle. are they standard spring landings? or does it have adjustable coilovers

ok quick update, haven't really been able to do much work to the galant as the s15 is costing me money >_< firstly I needed a new pair of rear tyres ( I don't know why though >.> ) TOYO proxes R1R do the job exceptionally but they don't come cheap http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u207/dvs_fin/IMG_...

But you also have to look at it from the buyers point of view, as far as they know your car could already have a pre existing problem and you are just trying to con them.

Re: VR4 4g63t conversion into gc galant
I have one in the works, but the motor hasn't seen the car yet lol long story You don't NEED an RVR head (which is the car that Matt was talking about) because they are pretty rare to find unless you buy a complete engine. All you need to do is remove the CAS and install a trigger wheel at the front...

Re: 265 slant in GH
well imho, you wouldn't be eating any commodores if you cant get any traction LOL putting in a big heavy engine with a fair amount of power into a small light car (especially that far forward) means that if you put your foot down with even larger than standard tyres with not much weight over the top...
