Yeah, negative offset means the wheel moves away from the car
I'd like around $450 with the tyres..

Re: 2 door LA build-hillclimb car

Easy tiger.. it's just tech screwed in for placement. I'll fit grommets around the hoses and a foam square under the pump and bolt it in.
There isn't much room under there with 3" lowered suspension, and well.. I wanted the pump in the boot.

Re: 2 door LA build-hillclimb car

Thanks for the advice guys.. I already have a plan to minimize the pump vibration, I'll have to fit a filter before the pump, I have the one that came with pump somewhere.. Also just fitted a coolant bleeder, I figured there would have to be air getting trapped in the hight point of the hose http://...

Re: 2 door LA build-hillclimb car

Yeah, I have the grommets at home already.. The boot is sealed off only by the seat and wooden panel, both which burn quite easily..
Will fit a metal sheet when time permits.

But cheers!

You can build a 4g32 in a half a day easily!
Get all the prep/machine work done first, grab a beer and your motor is done before the beer is!

Re: Roll cage plans?

Thanks Dave, my mate makes CAMS approvable cages so he will take care of that side of things. As for rego I'm still not sure which way to go, I might just get full rego before I start any major mods

Re: lb lancer not running right

ignition leads maybe? if it has been sitting i always change the cheap basics first, plugs, leads, points, condenser, rotor button and dizzy cap.. as stated above check vac lines and inlet gasket.. also.. carb might be overfueling? how old is the fuel? does it rev up if you accelerate? any smoke out...

Re: 2 door LA build-hillclimb car

Alright, all the lights are working, engine is tuned pretty well but I haven't driven it yet so I'll give it a final tune once I get the new exhaust on..
Gotta do the suspension, fit all the new bushes and move the fuel pump into the boot then it's ready for the cage

I balanced them, but not tuned at all cause I couldn't get it to idle, all good now though. Will do some fine tuning soon and take it for a spin!
