Re: VL Turbo front strut into GK
Exactly as per your pic....... Started getting a bit messy with too many custome made parts for Rally application. I was going to have to have too many spares made that I may or may not use, so could have ended up with one offs sitting in the shed doing nothing. Also picked up 10 wheels (4 stud patt...

Re: GK Sigma Rally Car
Seeing as it is such a good day, I thought I would get the car out of the shed and give it a wash. You will also see that I have installed the seats, dash, door trims (painted black), had white squares put on the doors and pinstriped around the squares. Next job is to panel off the boot with alumini...

Re: New daily 2001 Mitsi Challenger - any tips?
I had a 98 model for a while. It was a really good car but i had no need for the 4x4 anymore so sold it. Having worked for a Mits Dealer for a while I can confirm that they are essentially a triton wagon, just the same as a 4runner is a hilux wagon. There is no real common faults with them, just kee...

Only chasing 2nd hand to trial fit for clearances etc, will get new once size is sorted. You are absolutely spot on with keeping good steer tyres on board, better to have oversteer than understeer in the bush!!!!!

Re: Brake Bias Valves
The brake bias valves are designed to go into the rear brake line but will not increase rear brake bias only decrease. In rallying, more often than not you need to gain more rear braking to be able to set the car into corners (happily known as sideways!!!) The best way to achieve this is to run 2 se...

Re: Twin Solex Carbs + Electric fuel pump
I think Davetrees is on the money with the pump needing priming........ Cheap pumps in particlar will not suck, only push. If the mounting of the pump is higher than the tank you may need to locate it lower so the fuel will syphon to the pump

Re: Converting Sigma Lights from Halogen to HID
Nah mate just a std H4 kit. As far as using a patch harness it just means more plugs/wiring to try and cram in behind headlight because of the 5 pin plug that goes into the headlight then the H4 plug inside the light. I prefer to have has little extra plugs etc than necessary. But that's just my opi...

Re: Converting Sigma Lights from Halogen to HID
I have a H4 HID upgrade kit here that I will be using to convert my GK Rally Car. It will be a matter of cutting single plug of end of loom, working out HI/LOW/Earth wires and simply wiring a H4 plug (available from Repco, Bursons etc) onto the loom. The back of the headlight will need to be modifie...

Re: sigma clearance lights (front L&R bumpers)
I have the same indicators (under small chrome look covers on top of front guards) on my gk that are coming off. I haven't taken them off yet but reckon they should come off with a 1/4 drive ratchet and deep tube socket. Will be a bit fiddly but better than taking the guard off. May also need aid of...
