Interesting to see some one pulled this thread up years later, In hindsight its not such a bad thing :-) Pretty much what happened with my build sometime down the track is it turned out i had a bad lifter in the new batch i installed, its possible at the time i may have damaged this while installing...

Looks like going off this the Starion uses the same gearstick bush as well (looks very similar anyway) i might go and hit up a dealership before they all get sold out from people going on a buy up haha

If your just going to have a stock motor, i have been advised to leave the balance shafts in. But removing them does make it rev more quickly/freely. i ended up buying the old girl so ive added another 80's timemashine to my collection, if i keep this up im going to have to save up for a warehouse. lol.

Hi guys, i was down at central motor wreckers in springvale this week and i noticed they had a blue 4 door lancer in the yard, figured it was worth a mention in the event anyone is chasing parts, there was a few galants in the yard as well.

Im pretty sure these would fit with out any issues but i really just wanted to confirm that im not going to have any problems with hitting the gearbox before i go and buy any :-) im running a wide block on my current scorp.
