I don't no much about cams and l have never driven a 2.6 astron with EFI.
What makes you think its the cam ? Is it common to have noisy valve lash with these engines ?

Re: Facet pump NEW
All ok now The pump just made a lot of noise . When l put my finger over the input it just didn't seem to have the slightest of suction. But what l did notice was that when you first switch it on the first couple of beats seem to have suction. So what l did was switch it on and off quickly for over ...

The return line was an add on . There was however prevision for it to run to the front along side the fuel line.
The return line empties into the fuel filler hose line.

Re: What is this Carby?
I had one similar that my boss gave .His dad worked at Renault factory in West Heidelberg in the 70s. It was a small Webber most probably for the Reno 12 that was assembled there . Mine was brand new but covered in some kind of wax.
l ended up binning it about 20 years ago.

Re: Astron running lean
l was thinking a little different. Maybe there is a problem with the wires going down to the pumps and there not getting the amps down the wires. That may make the wires warm and the pumps not to preform to good , hence the missing.
Just another idea , good luck

Have chickened out on mounting the surge tank and primer pump. But l have packed down the tank with 60 x 10 rubber . This has given me room to run the fuel lines above the tank. At the moment l have a VL electric pump mounted beside the fuel tank . If l use the surge tank in the future it dose fit i...

Just reading your complaint . You said all good in the garage and for the short run down the street. Then you took it for the 30k drive .You thought you traced part of the problem to the extra positive wire to the computer. Do you think that the computer may be damaged now in some way because of the...

Try looking at Aluminium radiators on EBay . Don't think you will find one that says suit Sigma but there is a lot with measurements supplied.
Should find one that will with a bit of a fiddle make fit.

Not going in the Quarter panel .
Maybe a sealed compartment next to the spare wheel but l feel the pumps will need to be vented to the outside
to reduce generated heat.

Confined space for eletric pumps
Read a thread on Hoon boys LC Hatch . He mounted and sealed his surge tank and pumps inside his 1/4 panel .
l am in 6 minds as to were to put my lift pump and main pump.
The question is... Wouldn't they get hot ???
And if not.... Could they be mounted in a smaller compartment ???
