Re: Aluminium Radiator to suit a Sigma.

This is the only one I could find to fit. Icely in the GB, but yer you have a bit bigger choice in the sigmas with the extra space http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/3-rows-aluminum-radiator-for-DATSUN-510-1968-1973-620-Pickup-1972-1973-L16-/121248330029?hash=item1c3af6b12d%3Ag%3Ae1gAAOxydlFSyPy3&_trkparm...

Re: Aluminium Radiator to suit a Sigma.

If you search eBay for a 3 core aluminium radiator to suit a Datsun 510 1968-73/620 Pickup L16 1972-73, it will definately fit. Only are und the $150 mark. I put one in my GB galant running a 4G54. It was a bit tight, but still fit no worries

AUTOMATIC GE SCORP DIFF

Anyone know where I could possible source an 8 bolt diff centre/ring/pinion out out of an automatic GE Scorpion? I had to move to Mackay a few years ago as my missus got placement teaching up here for 4 years. Haven't seen a scorp, sig, or galant since I've been here, and the wreckers don't have anyt...

Diff ratios

Hi everyone. Just wondering if there is a straight swap set of diff gears out there for the stock 8 bolt GB sedan diff? I've always run the Jap 5 speed box, and don't have any intentions of swapping it out as it's had plenty spent on it being reconditioned. Just wondering if there is a simple swap o...

Re: Help with GA Galant Ball joints.

Hey. I am just in the middle of swapping mine out in My GB, which I'm sure will be exactly the same. Due to recently moving to Mackay, there are limited car part stores up here. I've had to order some through Repco, but I haven't physically seen them yet. I asked for The part number for them and thi...

Hey David.
The seal size is 42x55x8. You will be able to get it from pretty much any bearing shop (eg allied bearings) if you have no luck at an auto shop

REAR VISION MIRROR/INTERIOR LIGHT

Hi everyone. The interior light in my GB needs replacing. Just wondering if anyone has ever swapped there's out for something else? I'm not sure what there like in the later model galants, but in the GB the rear vision mirror arm slots into the light. I don't mind having to replace both the light an...

GB GALANT SEALS

Hi everyone. I'm due to replace my slip yoke seal and the diff/axle seals on the GB as I've noticed them starting to leak. It's just a generic one with an external regulator. So I should just be able to loop straight from the B+ to the S terminal?

ALTERNATOR

Hey everyone, I've just purchased a new alternator to swap with the existing alternator out of my GB. I've already had to swap the regulator out of the original. When I did, the internals (bearings ect) where looking pretty sad so I thought it was a good excuse to get a new one. The replacement is a...

The best solution for the water journal under the adaptor plate is just tapping a thread in it and putting in a grub screw. It will never bother you again :)

Cheers for the reply scorp. Bad sig mentioned also that it would swap over no problems as far as everything lining up, but he also said that he wouldn't recommend it unless fitting a turbo. I'm only guessing its because it willed top the compression too much. And I guess it's the same for all the ot...

Astron 1 head swap

Hey everyone. Just wanting to know if there is an easy head swap for a 4g54 series 1 engine? It's running flat top pistons and balance shaft removal kit. Do water and oil ports on the head and block line up correct on later model heads ect? Or is it too much of a hassle and just easier to track down...

Re: distant between crank pulley and front stablizer bar

I know mine is in a galant and not a siggy, but when I put the 2.6 into my GB there was the same clearance issue. To fix it I just have 2 engine mount spacers. There are only a few mm thick and are the same shape as the engine mount brackets. Basically just 1 big washer lol. This way it lifts the mo...

I've got those same filters. There no good. The webers suck too hard that they try and pull the filters in through itself lol I'd only get to 3grand before they would suck into the carbs too much and would just stall the motor. Re: GA brake trouble

I guess it could be a few little possibilities. Process of elimination seems like the best way to get to the bottom of it. First thing I would try is disconnecting the vacuum line from the brake booster so it's just running like the stock system. If it works fine them its the booster. If not then we...

Re: GA interior heater radiator valve repair?

Yep you won't find the same one anywhere. Repco, autobarn, CHEAPA auto spares, supercheap, will all have the same universal valve. I had to get one of those and just adapt it to make it work. Once u can get it mounted that's the hard part done. It will be a bit of a bitch to do, but once u have figu...
