Hi All,
Does anyone know where the grounding strap is for the Sigma (scorpion)? I cant seem to find one. (running through possible grounding issues)
Is there a grounding strap?
The engine mounds appear to be solid metal, are these enough?
Cheers,

Re: Sigma Starter Motor - Different Models?
Hi Guys, Thanks for the replies... I've actually been a long time member / lurker, and I did have another account with an intro post before the forum crashing a while back... I should probably do another one though as a bit has changed with my car (less works now :P) I've been researching these star...

Re: Sigma Starter Motor - Different Models?
So I bought a magna starter motor, from an early model TN-TP... stud pattern doesn't match the gearbox...
Stud pattern for my gearbox is a straight line, the magna starter motor has a 'triangle' pattern for the bolts + starter motor center.

Sigma Starter Motor - Different Models?
Hi All, My starter motor in my Scorpion died (Sigma GSR motor) Does anyone know if the Magna 2.6l starter motors fit fine (heaps on ebay)? I have searched around but information is scarce on the ground... I'd head down to the wreckers but my motorbike is off the road at the moment as well. Cheers,

Re: Wont Rev Past / Over 4500rpm
If it's for a carbied car, the Holley Blue will give you WAY too much fuel pressure ... you want no more than 5psi. Putting a pressure regulator on it will just reduce your fuel flow. Pierburg make really good low-pressure electric pumps http://www.injectacarb.com.au/fuel-pump-universal-carby-inlin...

Re: Wont Rev Past / Over 4500rpm
you can still buy mechanical fuel pumps from repco new and also they pop up on ebay pretty regularly. Checked with repco, they want $141 for a scorp mech. fuel pump.. sounds like an electric holley blue is the way to go instead http://www.holley.com/12-802-1.asp -- Will probably get a new coil etc....

Re: Fuel system questions
What head &/or exhaust mods are you running ? If they are stock, then it's probably not unexpected for the car to be running out of steam at that sort of level. I'm running a standard Astron1 head (sadly) but have Pacemaker extractors on it. Standard Cam too. Pretty sucky setup compared to what...

Re: Fuel system questions
I'm keen to hear the result! Though I've only got a Weber DGV 32/36 setup, but I seem to be having the same issue with 'hitting a wall' for revs, though mine is at 4,500rpm.
I would have believed I would hear pinging all over the place if it was leaning out though?

Re: Wont Rev Past / Over 4500rpm
I would have a stab and say its your fuel pump. I had similar issues with mine, turned out the fuel pump had a hole in it. 0.01bar at WOT, but drove ok till about 3750 then jump and coughed and spluttered. but when it would run fine again to ~3750 again.. Reading the other posts, it seems a stock m...

Re: Indicator SOLID -- Not flashing, Relay fault?
thanks for the help guys, got the issue resolved.
Was a blown globe in the end, but I do believe some water had found its way into the casing. Gave it a good cleanup and made sure the unit was sealed, fresh set of globes (and a park-light that went as well) -- All good

Wont Rev Past / Over 4500rpm
Hi, I've been in the process of fine-tuning and testing my scorpion before some heavy driving and have come across an issue. All seems well until you reach ~4500rpm and it wont seem to push any further. Infact, sometimes it even DROPS in revs on WOT! My guess is maybe a fuel starvation issue? It see...

Indicator SOLID -- Not flashing, Relay fault?
Hi, Recently, my Right Side indicator no longer 'flashes' but goes on solid. I've had a look at the relays but I dont have a wiring diagram for that section of the car. It appears though that the relay that controls the indicators is a 2-pin relay, how does this work? I identified this by removing r...
