Years back I used on from a V8 HQ on my Stinkma.
Nice and long, just had to fiddle the fittings for the ends.

Yeah, I thought it sounded hard. Easier just to get a set made?
I was more curious about bolting a set of standard wagon leafs into the GC.
Am sicking looking at the sky every time the car is under boost

Re: Clutch
Dropped the box at lunchtime yesterday, the clutch is not holding up too well as it has delaminated on the pressure plate side. More dissapointing was the amount of oil coming from the input shaft seal inside the bell housing of the gearbox. This has then wept onto the pressure plate and soaked into...

Are all clutches the same for the Narrow block / Jap box combination?
Shame I can't ask for a kit to suit a 74 GC with a 2.6t and 5 speed
I'm thinking I may have to look at early Magna kits as the flywheel came off a TN or TP

Re: Old Rides
The red one was my second car, prior to that was a GC. I paid $4k for it in 1995!! I sold it after I purchased another Sigma (one with less rust) and could not afford to have two. The scorp was sold because I left Tassie. I was really bummed about letting it go but the new owner semmed just as passi...

Old Rides
I found a box of old pics last week, amongst them were a few of a couple of my previous rides. Thought I'd best share...... This one started life as a Wherrett, then was turbo 2.6 for a while and ended up with a pokey little Astron II. http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/uu94/bendt1/Stinkma001.jpg ht...

i'm happy to be criticized by people who know about these type of cars and have been through this stuff before. Dude, I wasn't being critical. I think it would be great if you can squeeze either one of the engines you mentioned into the bay. I was merely showing my surprise at such a sugestion. ;)

Re: new to this site, old school car enthused, ready to drive!
Aside from running the risk of tearing the poor little thing in half, I doubt that the effort would be worth it. As woops has just stated, there are many options for these little cars. They don't need 'a lot' of grunt to get them going. Slap 150kw (easily achievable with a G63t) under the ass of one...
