that adaptor is going to be a major restriction... get 2 boost guages and connect one above and below it and see how much boost youre loosing..

try a 2l head gasket against a 2.6 head, see if the valves touch it

astron 1 and 2 heads are identical apart from the cams (or so i believe) putting an astron 2 head on any astron 1 (2l or 2.6) should lower its compression to about 6.5:1 (its actually the dished astron1 pistons that do this, swap to the magna flattops and youll get standard compression) valves and p...

heatshields and a bonnet vent are my first priority
also last time the speedo cable melted it jammed on and i chewed through 3/4 of my brake pads getting it home

please dont strip a tidy lc.. and if you do send me some parts!! lancer and galant have leaf rears, the diffs will swap over but the lancer wont be 4 wheel disc (dont think they were) sigma diff is coil sprung, if you were gunna do the work to put it back in the lancer you might as well grab a commo...

thanks, hopefully ill be getting efi sooner rather than later... my lancer can use the stock ecu but i need aftermarket for siggy if i wanna keep the turbo :c ($$$) i just picked up some original inside door lockers and bezel/surround things... i was missing 2 surrounds, ill keep using my sparco 'ho...

yea the later model dizzy has an internal ignitor and doesnt need to use to finned aluminium bosch box, it only needs two wires hooked up

just incase you didnt know, an astron 2 head will also give you turbo happy low compression and they have bigger valves and ports... (with factory astron 1 dished pistons) the turbo head is pretty old tech also if your running dished pistons, cc the dish and subtract that amount from the combustion ...

hmm, so the 2l cam is designed for low end torque and the 2.6 cam improves the top end... interesting... mabye i should retard it 10 degrees so its equivalent to a a 2.6 retarded 5?? would there be any possible effect from the intake valve opening too early? i might have to try to find a spare 2l ca...

i used that vinyl spray paint on the door cards in my 323.. its all about prep, its lasted quite well (did it 12 months ago) but its starting to look patchier than when i first applied it

...more to do with the ports final approach length and angle, hence the reason the M7 actually angles the port UP through the head so it can increase the final approach length of the short turn radius... hey guys, so i have a 2l cam in my 2.6... the inlet valve has an extra 4 degrees but as a whole the cam is advanced(?) 5 degrees from 2.6 spec.. if i retard(?) the cam 5 degrees it matches the 2.6 cam perfectly but the inlet opens 4 degrees sooner... my question is, does anyone advance their factory...
