keeping the auto mainly for lazyness i have manuals as dailys and i just want to relax and drive so to speak. fuel economy is a big one i want to drive down the coast on the weekends and such with this car. about 500k round trip are there other diff ratios available for the scorp diff??????? cheers

Factory Turbo setup on a AUTO?
basically have a auto scorp new motor and a setup sitting in the workshop i dont want to go manual. SO.. main concern is at highway speed engine revs about 3000 which leads me to believe the turbo will be sitting on boost down the highway. i could be missing something here not overly schooled in tur...

inside your rocker cover will tell you a lot about your engines life the if you clean it down if it easy to clean chances is are well maintained alot of thick crud or tarnished and stained likely a hard life not many oil changes ect not to mention a quick compression test and inspection of your spar...

so i have a gj scorpion with a sad old auto which i believe is the baby 904 i have a borgwarner Auto rehashed with falcon clutch packs sitting on the shop floor can they be swapped? i have to change flexplate but otherwise will the yoke fit? any ratio changes ect would the borg throw my speedo out? ...

im guessing you sorted al this out by now
but installed a MK triton fuel tank from the 2.4 EFI fits same mountings no drilling at all.

Hey mate
yeah i sorted it i used the knock sensor becouse the ecu wouldnt get past the fault code i simply threaded into the a/c bracket thread in the side of the block wont work very well but it stops ecu running in limp mode.

It is Finally done Triton running on EFI with a few gremlins but looks awsome specs aint exciting -crack tested block all checked over and cleaned - linished crank - new pistons to fit 1mm overbore -original rods - new bearings rings ect -brass welch plugs allround -late model magna head new valves ...

old ones are mostly fine just the few that sit in the coolant galleys are corroded so new set would be nice as for arp its only my daily no boost in a triton so driven slow every where anyways.

i found i had to have full choke any less and she was a bit a mongrel also i had an electric fuel pump not mech which i found made it easier to start
even middle of winter it was a flick of the key and she was off.

i Rember reading on here a few yrs back of blokes using a TIEN wastgate and a adapter to the V band arrangment
